SKITS

There is great pleasure in writing for performance. Its like crafting lifeless words into a living image as a sculpture would carve a block of stone. Then hearing an audience react, even when you had not expected it is always gratifying.

These are a few of the skits I have written and produced that are not too dependent on local issues, people or 'in' jokes.

The Frog and the Cracker

This is an adult potted panto for five people, no scenery and simple props. It runs about 10 minutes. It was performed at a Christmas Review by a group of people invited from the audience. If you pick your victims carefully you can add a great deal to the humour.

Charles and Fiona

Three skits based on the 60s radio show, Round the Horne. The combination of the Noel Coward style with the simple humour of the time gives a rather special result.

I Know

A tribute to the work of Barry Took and Marty Feldman. The 'I know you know' routine was a key part of any Daphne and Charles skit. Here I have tried to take it to its ultimate conclusion.
