Poetry is one of life's great pleasures. I greatly admire poets who use words to paint complex pictures, often using humour to wrap-up a truism that catches the reader by surprise. The Liverpool Poets were very adept at this. These are a few of my own efforts, although some are adaptations of more famous poems. |
