Brugge is a very compact City with many of the bars located around the central area. It is also a very secenic City, popular with tourists. The bars below are a real mix of popular local places, tourist haunts and beer heaven.

Biggest range of beers in Brugge (over 250). Limited food. Decorated with old beer advertising for many closed breweries.

Hollandse Vismijn

A very popular locals bar with a small beer selection beer and Rodenbach on tap. Regular meeting place for the local card school. Bar prices are among the lowest in Brugge.

Brouwerij Taverne

The brewery tap of the De Halve Maan Brewery the home of Straffe Hendrik. Very large bar with several levels. Only the blond is available.

One of the last, almost unspoilt brown bars left in Brugge. Very limited beer list.

Staminee De Garre

Very charming locals bar that gets very busy. Over 120 beers. Celis Wit on van het vat plus a house Tripel. The passage where the bar is located is easily missed.

Bistro with a good beer list.

Rembrant

Old style cafι/bar divided into two with large leather seats around a very large gas fired log fire at one end and more traditional brown bar furnishing at the other. 20+ beers and De Koninck on tap.

More of a restaurant, but has a good selection of beers. Owned by the same couple who run the Staminee De Garre.

A brew pub owned by Jan De Bruyne of ‘t Brugs Beertje. Converted from a large house, the half wood panelled walls and furniture give a country cottage feel. 3 beers available. Light snacks and full meals.

‘T Zwart Huis

Located in a 15th century building, the name comes from the smoke blackend walls of the building. Mellow wood interior and average beer list.
